This complete padlock opening set is designed for easy and damage-free opening of padlocks. The set includes various padlock shims and comb-type tools (locksticks), suitable for professional use.
How does it work?
When a padlock is locked, the locking pawl engages firmly into the steel body of the lock. This mechanism is strong enough to resist forced entry. However, there is a simple and effective way to bypass this mechanism in a controlled manner.
Using a shim, the pawl can be disengaged from the metal body, allowing the padlock to be opened without a key and without damage.

Using shims
Shims are made of very thin metal to fit into the narrow gap of the padlock. This makes them effective but also fragile, so careful use is required.
By combining a gentle twisting motion with light downward pressure, the shim can be guided into the gap. In some cases, it is easier to insert the shim first and then release the locking mechanism with a twisting motion. Reference images are included for clarity.

Padlocks with double locking pawls
Some padlocks are equipped with two locking pawls. These require simultaneous use of two shims, as shown in the images.
